While an an all-star cast assembled in Maryland to pay tribute to Jerry Garcia for Dear Jerry, a separate array of musical legends came together in Rosemont, Illinois on Thursday night to honor The Who. Eddie Vedder, Joe Walsh, Joan Jett and Rick Nielsen joined members of The Who including Pete Townshend and his brother Simon Townshend at the Rosemont Theater for the lengthy tribute.

The show opened with Simon performing a number of his own tunes including "I'm The Answer" with Vedder. Eddie then sang The Who gem "Blue, Red & Grey" before playing his own "Last Will & Testament" since November 13, 1999. The Pearl Jam frontman offered up "Far Behind," dueted on "Corrina, Corrina" and "You Stand By Me" with Pete Townshend. The Who guitarist ended the first set with "Drowned."

Set Two saw The Who without vocalist Roger Daltrey roll through "The Kids Are Alright" and "Eminence Front" with Walsh, "Summertime Blues" with Walsh and Jett as well as "Behind Blue Eyes" and "Better Man" with Vedder. The set and show came to a close with many of the evening's guests helping out on "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "My Generation."
