Metal Gear Survive: A beta announced on consoles and a new gameplay video for the solo

If you have not followed anything so far about this spin-off, these minutes of play will do the trick to give you a good idea of its content.

Announced at gamescom 2016 to everyone's surprise, Metal Gear Survive will be coming to our consoles early next year, so Konami quietly continues his marketing campaign to try to sell us his game. That's why the company shared a new gameplay video in the day.

On this day's schedule, Metal Gear Survive producer Yuji Korekado presents the single-player mode of the game. He first recalls that it is a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid V oriented on survival (hence the title, which could have done without Metal Gear ...) and also proposing cooperation. We then have the right to gameplay showing us for example the Base, the hub of this alternative world where our character was propelled via a wormhole following the events of MGS V, which will allow us to craft various elements necessary for our adventure. The different types of weapons are exhibited and there will be obviously a choice, between rifle, mass, bow and other sword. A point is also made about the importance of oxygen, the surroundings of the Base being contaminated by a poisoned fog (it does not really want to go on vacation ...). Moreover, it can be improved and shaped to our desire to survive as best as possible. And although this video is called "Single Player Commentary Trailer", the coop mode is also making its appearance.

Finally, it is a beta that has been announced on PS4 and Xbox One only, which will take place from 18 to 21 January 2018. It will be possible to play in cooperation precisely and participants will receive bonuses for the final version of the game, namely a Fox Hound number plate, a Metal Gear REX head accessory and a bandana.

The release date of Metal Gear Survive is set for February 22, 2018 in Europe on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. North America will have the opportunity to play there two days before, on February 20th.
